About

Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini (BangBang Studio) is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker whose work has primarily centered on documenting the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Yemen. Having traveled extensively for publications across the United States and Europe, his focus has been on conflicts in some of the world’s most volatile regions, particularly in the Middle East and Asia. His clients have included Vanity Fair, The New Republic, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, and The Wall Street Journal. His work has earned numerous prestigious honors, including a World Press Photo Award, the 2013 Humanitarian Visa d’Or from the International Red Cross (ICRC), an award from the Overseas Press Club, a National Magazine Award nomination, and TIME Magazine’s “Best iPhone Photo of the Year”.

In 2017, following his role as Director on a six-episode miniseries for A&E and The History Channel, Sebastiano transitioned into commercial filmmaking, taking on projects as both Director and Director of Photography. He still remains deeply passionate about documentary filmmaking, a natural extension of his early career as a photographer.

Drawing on his extensive production experience, he collaborates closely with leading digital advertising agencies, creating branded content for television and social media platforms.
